Drillships
We started the development of the DP drillships in 1969, and this resulted in the construction of a number of the “Pelican” series of vessels. These successful vessels are still operating offshore Brazil.
P10,000 series
During the 1990’s the new generation of drillships of the P10,000 series was developed. The frontrunners, Ensco DS-1 and Ensco DS-2 (formerly Pride Africa and Pride Angola), are operating in West Africa.
At present, a total of 14 units have been designed, built or are under construction.
PRD12,000 series
The compact drillship has been called the PRD12,000 series, of which 2 have recently been delivered. The smaller sized vessel can also be an efficient unit for well intervention activities.
